Hello, I am selling a Lotus Exige S Roadster automatic (to my knowledge, this is the only automatic vehicle of this model in the country). I am a used car dealer as well as the CEO of a first-class repair shop. This is a car I have personally driven. I have always liked Lotus cars a lot, and five years ago, I happened to have the opportunity to purchase one. As I mentioned earlier, I have owned it for five years (there was one family transfer). Honestly, there is only one in our country, it is a very fun car, and since I am someone who likes Lotus, I am a bit hesitant to sell it, but now I have no choice but to let it go. Besides this car, I also own a Honda S2000, which I plan to list on Encar in a few days. It's a car that was involved in a rear-end accident, and I'll first explain the accident story. It has a total loss history. For cars like the Lotus Exige or Elise, as those who know are aware, the body is made in one piece front and back, so even a slight impact from the rear results in an estimate of 70 million KRW. The rear fender, rear bumper / front fender, front bumper / bonnet are all made as one piece. (The cam shell is custom-ordered from the UK, so it takes a long time, is extremely expensive, and its volume makes shipping costs huge. That's why it has to be salvaged and reused.) Those who know will understand, but those who don't may not. I also have photos from the initial total loss history (It is assumed to have been a total loss from a rear-end accident in 2016 / can be confirmed / I found the photos online). It is expected that the minor accidents in the middle were each handled as unpaid repairs of 20 million won and received as such. And for the second accident, it was also handled as an unpaid repair (in 2021 / same rear-side accident / I have the photos / I believe you received roughly 6 million won only for the unpaid repair / at that time, I bought it at the highest price while it was damaged). I expect that the previous owner received slightly over 100 million won in total compensation, combining the unpaid repair handling and the amount I paid. Looking at the photos of the first and second accidents, they are not major accidents. I’m not sure if the garage owner felt differently / even a regular consumer could say that these are not major accidents. (rear bumper / trunk floor / trunk slightly damaged / I only deal with severely damaged cars on a daily basis) After removing the rear cabin for repair, there was no damage at all to the rear frame. Only the cabin was pushed and broken, and I handled all the restoration and repair myself. (I also uploaded repair and removal photos for reference.) Honestly, even if the frame (side member) is damaged, straightening it allows driving without any issues. (Every day, what happens at the repair shop is welding the frame, straightening it, measuring diagonal dimensions, aligning the frame, checking alignment, test driving...) Technology has improved that much) The stories about not buying frame-damaged or salvaged cars are all from 40 years ago when there was no technology. / Personally, that's what I think. (I am not saying that my Lotus has frame damage) Anyway, this is the accident history story. As a first-class auto repair shop owner and dealer, I have no aversion to totaled or accident cars because my job is to make accident cars every day. Also, my mindset is that cars from me are meant to be repaired and driven (there is no car that doesn’t break down). And so far, I have probably sold about 1,000 totaled or accident cars (with acquaintances buying 80%, and I have been in the car business for about 20 years...). So, I have no aversion to them. Being a totaled car doesn’t mean it will break down / Being a totaled car doesn’t mean it had a big accident. I understand that some people may feel reluctant about this.. However, I would appreciate it if only those without such reluctance call. We receive 200-250 calls a day^^;; (I get a lot of stress because there are too many calls) So please only call if you really want to purchase. The vehicle was acquired at roughly 45,000 kilometers. The previous owner had already done most of the maintenance at 40,000 kilometers, including spark plugs, ignition coils, brake pads, oxygen sensors, and so on. Since it has a Toyota 3.5 supercharged engine, the consumables are much cheaper compared to other cars. After I acquired it, I only changed the transmission oil and used synthetic oil for the engine oil. Of course, I only refueled with premium gasoline (if you put regular gasoline, knocking occurs immediately). All four tires have been replaced, and the car has few minor issues, so maintenance costs are not high. The previous owner replaced it with an AIM dashboard (he said he replaced it because the rear camera came out) / the mileage has stayed the same since then (I received and am keeping the vehicle registration document / the dashboard replacement history is recorded). I also have the original dashboard and will give you the shocks, springs, and various parts I received (see photos). The spoiler was given by the previous owner, so I installed it myself (it definitely looks good) / it was originally gray (I uploaded the previous photo) but I wrapped it in glossy green (3 million won) / I painted the calipers yellow. I wrapped it in green because I saw someone else’s Lotus Exige Cup in that color and it was so pretty that I just did the same (I feel a bit sorry to that person ^^;;). I worked on the turn signal relay (the turn signal sound was too quiet, so I made the sound a bit louder / I always forget to turn off the turn signals). There’s a battery at the back of the trunk, but jumping it was very inconvenient, so I set it up so that the positive and negative terminals can be easily jumped (see photo). I have a 4-channel black box (it works well, but the left and right front fender cameras are very old and have discoloration, so the screen is hard to see, whereas the front and rear views are clear). I worked on an auxiliary battery. The new car costs about 147 million KRW including VAT. As for options, it has beige leather seats, automatic transmission, and a few other things, but I don't remember exactly ^^;; Currently, one of the license plate lights is not working (this just requires changing the bulb / I can do it myself). There are some places where the previous paint is slightly peeling and some parts of the wrap are slightly lifting (it's not serious / you wouldn't notice at a glance). It's a 10-year-old vehicle, so please consider that it's a used car when making a purchase. Also, I'm sorry, but test drives are probably not possible / I ask that only those who are serious about purchasing make arrangements slowly. (I've seen many people who only test drive and drive the car recklessly without manners, and it really annoys me.. TT / I still remember, it was really frustrating..) Regarding transfer of ownership, it's just a standard ownership transfer, so it won't cost much—please take note~ I think I've explained the vehicle enough now. Because of having both a garage job and vehicle sales, I usually finish work around 1 AM. You can see the car from 9 AM to 1 AM. The location is Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, and it can be viewed in the underground parking lot. The auto repair shop and car dealer are all nearby. I’ve had it for 5 years, and during that time, it was only in the underground parking lot, the repair shop, and the dealer’s parking lot without being driven much for about 3 years. It’s a car that’s inconvenient to get in and out of, but it’s that much more attractive and fun^^ If you put it in auto and turn on the sport mode, the car really flies^^ It’s a car with many unforgettable memories, but I hope it finds a good owner now~ If your credit is good, installment payments are also possible / (I specialize in full-loss car financing). Thank you for reading this long post^^
